Us And Them – We Won’t Be Fooled Again III

If you are reading this, then more than likely you are one of us.  After all, there is not that many of them, it is just that while we go to work and try to provide for our families, they go to work trying to make sure that they stay in power or at least those that they support stay in power.  After all, it is the fundamental law of life:  the preservation of one’s self.  Continue reading “Us And Them – We Won’t Be Fooled Again III”

Bustgate Busts Out in Britain

President Obama has been on what I would characterize as his farewell tour, where on the first leg Obama visits Cuba and gets in some chill time with the Castro brother’s (see an earlier post, Mr. Obama, it’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood) and then goes south to Brazil to take in some dance lessons.  This first leg is what I call the “Spread the Love” tour.  The next leg is what I call “Spread the Disrespect” tour. Stuck in the Middle

I think that many of you are probably like me and getting a bit tired of the circus that has become American politics these days.  Every where I turn I see another article about some new pathetic insult Cruz has thrown at Trump and how he has responded, or some new scandal Hillary is allegedly involved in, and there is a lot, seriously, a lot.  I can’t help but wonder to myself, “These are my choices for President?  What the hell happened here?”

We Won’t Get Fooled Again – Part II

This is the second part of a four part post on what I consider to be the ultimate rip-off of the American people.  What am I referring to?

Your vote doesn’t count.  It’s as simple as that.

We tell our kids and those who stay away from the political process, “You can’t complain if you don’t vote.”

Then they vote for a candidate that is in their minds the lesser of two evils because they had no say in who those two were. Continue reading “We Won’t Get Fooled Again – Part II”

We Won’t Get Fooled Again – Part I

Back in the late 60’s and early 70’s there were quite a few protest songs being done by folk and rock artists.  One of these was the song, We Won’t Get Fool Again by the Who.  Near the end of the song after a great instrumental, Roger Daltrey makes his iconic scream and then finishes the song with the lyrics,

“Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!”

Mr. Obama, it’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

I am probably biased, but I just have such a hard time with President Obama’s tone deaf approach to the whole radical islamic terrorist thing.  Every time there is a beheading of an American journalist, a burning of a Jordanian pilot, the gunning down of people at restaurants, concerts, airports, train stations and on and on, he seems to take on this attitude that his yoga time has been interrupted by another one of those pesky terrorist attacks.   Continue reading “Mr. Obama, it’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood”

Good Trump, Bad Trump

I found the whole thing with Mitt Romney denouncing Donald Trump and then actively opposing his candidacy amusing.  Bear in mind that Mitt Romney heaped praise upon Trump back in 2012 when the “Donald” endorsed Romney’s presidential candidacy against Barak Obama in 2012 (see Donald-Trump-Mitt-Romney-2012 and other similar links).  Donald sure has changed in the last four years hasn’t he?
